Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled API Production Support Specialist with expertise in Java and REST API technologies to join our banking client's Wealth & Advisory Technology team. Operating within a Kanban-based environment, this role is responsible for supporting day-to-day business operations, developing a strong understanding of the team’s applications and integrations, and ensuring the effective use of technology solutions that deliver business value. The individual will participate in issue triage and root cause analysis, contribute to both technical and operational discussions, and partner closely with technology leads on the design, development, and implementation of batch and API integrations. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to produce clear, meaningful technical documentation are essential for success in this role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the banking or financial services domain.
• Familiarity with REST API methodologies within a Java Spring Boot environment

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in supporting APIs and Pub/Sub event driven architecture.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with SQL, .NET, or comparable development technologies, along with incident management support, ETL/ Datastage and Zena
• Experience supporting or implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated willingness to train, mentor, and support team members and business partners.
• Proven ability to create and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
• Ability to participate in on-call support rotation.
• Availability to respond to critical production issues during off-hours, including overnight support when required.
• Willingness to support weekend deployments and post-deployment validations as needed.
• Demonstrated initiative and interest in learning new systems, applications, technologies, and business domains.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across IT, vendor, and business teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
