Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified, innovative Production Process Engineer to join our growing organization. In this position, you will oversee and improve production processes in our factory. Engineering aptitude, high attention to detail, and the ability to optimize production processes for maximum efficiency are necessary skills for this role.
Location: 100% on-site in Phenix City
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work with Area Dept Managers to plan, manage, and oversee all elements of production in our factory
- Manage all aspects of ongoing & future Capex Projects
- Work within set budgetary plans for the project
- Communicate with clients and vendors to obtain materials and/or equipment needed
- Assess and analyze current production methods
- Develop and draft an improved production process
- Design and implement cost-reductive changes
- Maximize productivity of machinery and workers
- Train, supervise, and manage production technicians, maintenance technicians, & contractors as needed
- Determine which machines, tools, equipment, etc. will be used and where they will be stationed in the facility
- Determine how many workers are needed to man the production line(s)
- Increase speed and efficiency of processes without compromising quality
- Follow product specifications and quality control measures
- Develop and implement quality control measures that effectively monitor products and guarantee desired results
- Ensure all steps of production run smoothly and efficiently
- Educate employees on proper methods in which to operate machinery
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Managers to hire technicians to maintain equipment & facilities for maximum safety and efficiency
- Diagnose origin of breakdowns, including human error, and troubleshoot problems
- Follow and adhere to all state, federal and company enforced safety rules and regulations
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, MS Project)
- In depth knowledge of electromechanical equipment, automation, & controls
- Possess a wide breadth of knowledge in mathematics, physics and mechanics
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
- Ability to effectively lead and direct employees
- Detailed-oriented and extremely efficient
- Ability to maintain positive vendor and client relationship
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology
- Applicants should have from 2-5 years of experience
- Relevant work experience in a manufacturing setting is required

Pay: From $95,000.00 per year
