Great Place to Work

Pros

For those who want to learn and grow their career, this is the place. Leaders genuinely care about us, our customers, and the business. Coworkers are friendly, helpful, and caring. Want to be involved in work projects? Community events? Healthy walks? We have all that. Good pay and benefits.

Cons

We work at a fast pace - if that's not your thing, this isn't your place. We work as a team - if that's not your thing, this isn't your place. We value diversity in every way - if that's not your thing, this isn't your place. The only constant is change - if that's not your thing, this isn't your place.

Pros

Work load is fine, co-workers are fine. Pay is good, benefits are good, pto is good.

Cons

Hybrid sucks. I really wish they had reconsidered the hybrid policy and having us come back to the office. A lot of us have changed the way we live for the last few years and finding child care in a month is not feasible for everyone. I feel less productive in office as there are many people and it’s loud! At home in my office is quiet, I can work independently as I’ve done for years and see no reason to return. If they’re worried about us seeing coworkers and managers, let us come in 1 day a week with our whole team to “bond”. Cafe is expensive so bring your lunch. Covid policy is non existent. Open desks is not a great policy. I really don’t want to share a desk with someone else and I’m not convinced they’re cleaned when we aren’t there.

Not Listening to Employees & Falling Behind

Pros

- Stability within the company - 401K and Pension - Direct team is great - Decent PTO

Cons

There are severe issues with not being able to get work started or completed. Specific to IT and ICS, there is so much process and forms that are required to be completed to do even the simplest of tasks it is mentally draining and frustrating to say the least. It is borderline torture to get anything done within a reasonable timeframe at this company. Between constant meetings and needing the opinions and approval from people all over the company to on-board a new product (when these people aren’t even going to be using or maintaining it) nothing seems to ever move forward. People here love to say “NO” and make you do songs and dances to get something done. They claim they want to move things to the cloud. There are many people that beg to differ. The process of getting an AWS account or a cloud product approved is painful. Nothing at this company is efficient or works on the first try. It is a constant battle of being frustrated because we can’t get anything done and laughing because we can’t get anything done. They say if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry. They are correct. Of course, there is also the horrendous RTO policy. The hybrid model of coming in 3 days a week and WFH 2 days a week. If you don’t come in a minimum of 4 days than you don’t even get your own desk! Imagine that they are making you come in, but you don’t even have your own personal space to use. It’s like being a guest at someone’s home and being unsure where the bathroom is, and you aren’t sure where to go. It’s uncomfortable and demeaning to employees to be required to come in 3 days minimum but needing to come in 1 additional day to get their own desk. Coming in and changing desks, monitor and chair setup every day is not going to drive me to work better or harder. It is frustrating and uncomfortable to not even know where you will be working from for the day. Then all this, to just dial into meetings anyway because they want your RTO days to be scattered from your teammates so ensure not everyone is only in on T-W-H, but then why would I want to come in and sit by myself? What??? Let’s also not forget that you need to pay to park every day and walk a decent distance to get to the building.
