The process started out organized, with multiple rounds of panel interviews. Early conversations were promising, the best part of the interview was the hiring manager, who sold me on the company and I initially felt like I could be a strong advocate for the company. However, by the end, I was left with the opposite impression due to the panel interviews. A couple of panelists clearly lacked proper interview training. And it also appeared that there was a general lack of understanding of the role. I would expect Senior leaders to be able to connect dots a little better, and have a strong competency in organizational management. Also, they seem completely unaware of the trends in the tech industries with regards to the backgrounds of many that go into tech, and at times certain panelists seemed to be rather antiquated in their views, which is surprising for this sort of company. Given the senior level of the people involved, I expected professionalism and structured, thoughtful questions. Instead, the experience felt disorganized and, frankly, unprepared. What made matters worse is that after investing significant time and energy, I was completely ghosted. Despite following up, there was no closure or communication. For a senior-level role, this kind of treatment is extremely unprofessional and signals deeper cultural issues. They literally turned an extremely strong advocate into a non-advocate by how they handled the process.

Extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Months of interviews to be ghosted after endless rounds. There seems to be a large disconnect within leadership and unprofessional behavior from those conducting interviews. Recruiting made no effort to follow up after the “final” round.
