I applied for 9 different HR Roles over the past 6 months. The process was the same for each one, complete the online application form and wait. For 3 of the positions I received an email informing me that Maersk wished to progress my application and could I complete their personality profile test. I completed the test for the first application that was progressed and then waited. 6 weeks later despite a couple of emails requesting an update Maersk have NEVER responded. The second role I had to complete a different assessment, again I did this and months later I am still waiting for a response. The most recent application that was to be progressed I received a phone call from a Maersk Recruiter based in Germany asking me about my experiences and background and telling me a little about the role. They advised me that as I had already completed the assessments on line that there was no need to do so again and that they were sending my CV to the Hiring Manager for Shortlisting. As this was 2 weeks before Christmas my expectations were set to hear back from them between Christmas and New Year or shortly after New Year. At the end of the second week of January I emailed the recruiter requesting an update, as yet there has been no response. I have subsequently withdrawn from all applications with this shambles of an organisation. I would NEVER recommend anyone work for this organisation. As a Senior HR Professional with 20 years of experience when companies act like this during the recruitment process I can assure you that the culture within the organisation is extremely negative and that little regard is given to the wellbeing of its employees. AVOID ALL MAERSK COMPANIES.
