I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Merck (Newark, NJ) in Dec 2021
Interview
Interviewed for a contract position. A recruiting company reached out, sent in my application, and got back to me within 2 weeks. From there, had first round phone interview with a manager on the team a week later, then a second round MS Team call with an HR rep and my potential supervisor. Very standard interview questions about my interest in the role, my background, and how I would manage the functions of the role (communication, time management, working with difficult vendors, etc.). All good untill the end. They told me I would hear back in a week but a week passes and nothing. Sent a follow-up to the pair I videochatted with and silence. Eventually got an email from the recruiter weeks later that they went with another candidate. It was a contract position so I am not surprised...

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Merck in Sep 2020
Interview
It was a very brief and efficient process, it was done virtually with 3 team members asking a variety of questions in random order. Overall the experience was good, but the multi-member panel reminded me of interviewing for acceptance into a fraternal organization.
