During the second stage interview I was asked the following: "You don't have to answer this, but can you tell me how old you are?"
Why should I hire you over someone else ?
No one interviewed me. I did not get beyond the reception and the security guard.
Various questions about experience, sill and capabilities. Discussions on several business scenarios, problems and problem solving. Candidate encouraged to ask question during the process.
During the screening process I was asked the following: "What is your salary expectations? We don't want to waste anybody's time if have a disconnect on that. "
Several times, in the various interviews, I was asked to explain why I had left previous jobs.
Interviews were mix of leadership principles and functional knowledge.
Not much about the job specific, market and commodity specific. (Which I was expecting for this role ). My interview went mostly around my experience, what are the major cost reduction activities I handled ? What value I personally added and how many dollars I saved? etc etc.
Questions about experience as well as position scenarios. This allowed team to evaluate the future performance of candidate.
