Autodesk reviews about "management"

Too many layers of management, but it’s to be expected of a corporation. Very slow decidion making. Frequest restructurings which laid to many layoffs in recent years. Mysterious end-of-year review process and impossible to get a serious salary increase.

Regional management acts as if they own the company - some people are hired and stick around because they just know a senior director personally- layoffs year over year - they say they offer one of the best salaries and benefits in the country which is not the case

Long working hours and sometimes unclear communication from management team.

Working as a Customer Success Advocate at Autodesk was generally a good experience. Management was fine and supportive, and the day-to-day work was manageable. However, the layoff was handled poorly, which negatively impacted an otherwise decent work environment.

Management is heartless, dishonest and incompetent.

Some of the teams and their senior management is not working upto the mark. Too much politics and incompetent managers is leading to PIP's.

It’s a big corporate monster that will pull you in, make you feel comfortable and preach culture values… when it’s convenient. Then run a round of layoffs when they get pressure from board members.

No WLB & no team building any more on my team. (Sometimes, I had to work from 9am to 12am, 15hrs in total in a day. Note: I was experienced on the team.) More and more work, and tight deadlines. Autodesk prefers not to hire people in the USA, because they want to save money. Many jobs are moved to India, Canada, etc. (Cheaper countries) I was working in Finance before layoffs. There were lots of politics. I saw something happened several times. -- If you got a new manager, be careful that you may be managed out/laid off in a few months by your new manager. Management likes to bring their people/friends into the company. Don't trust the management 100%.
