People are not tech savvy. When people move from one project to another, only the known ones of the director or manager is called in for the next role. You need a sponsor to move to next job within Bechtel. Diversity and inclusion are not followed in crisis sitation

I felt like things were fairly political

Micro Management by the Managers is a major drawback.

The saying "People don’t leave jobs; they leave managers" rings particularly true at Bechtel. Unfortunately, the company does not seem to address situations where poor management contributes to employee turnover. Some managers receive strong feedback from upper leadership but fail to provide adequate support and respect to their teams. A specific example is the executive manager of AI, Fatemeh Mirrashed, reporting directly to the CIO. This manager has consistently treated employees poorly, leading to a significant number of team members either leaving the company or transferring to other teams. Despite this, the company continues to promote such individuals, which sends a concerning message!

Upper management really inconsiderate for regular employees, will move you or change your WFH/Hybrid status without consultation and without reasonable cause. Favoritism will prevent bad eggs from getting fired (and they often get rewarded for brown nosing!)
