Pros

Interesting technology and most co-workers are nice

Cons

This place has a huge culture problem that the CEO simply doesn't care to fix. They're aware of the awful reviews on here and it's been affecting their ability to hire and retain engineers. Instead of trying to improve the culture, the CEO has been instructing managers to write 5 start reviews. There are so many problems that others have mentioned on here and they all start and end with the CEO. I recommend staying away.

Pros

The company offers exceptional opportunities to take on new challenges and expand your skill set, with exposure to the full spectrum of LiDAR development from concept to deployment. Leadership is encouraging and supportive of professional development, welcoming new ideas and fostering an environment where employees can take ownership of projects early in their careers. The workplace is highly collaborative, with knowledgeable colleagues who are always willing to share their expertise.

Cons

The fast-paced nature of projects can be challenging at times and requires adaptability to shifting priorities. Being self-motivated and proactive is important to make the most of the opportunities available.

Pros

The company is doing cutting-edge R&D in all areas of silicon photonics, so it is a great place to work to get real-world exposure to integrated photonics, integrated CMOS, laser design, III/V design, or system design. Working here is like working in an early Bell Labs. The employees are highly knowledgable, technically strong and great to work with, and it's the biggest strength of the company. The lab is also very well-equipped and the office is in a nice location in Seaport next to the ocean. Day-to-day work has always had lot of variety for me. Some days are doing simulations or design, other days are hand-on in the lab, or interacting with customers. I personally like the satisfaction of seeing a project go from a conceptual idea all the way to a working demonstration. It's a good place to work for photonics or electronics engineers.

Cons

Cutting edge R&D means lots of projects, also all work is on-site
