Pros

CEO vision is very positive. Benefits are great especially for long distance runners - someone who wants to possibly retire from this company. Nice health benefits, 401k match, fitness center, etc

Cons

Parking is extremely challenging - be prepared to walk close to a mile each way, often in freezing rain or snow. Access involves more than 50 steep, hazardous stairs, which makes the commute physically demanding. Many of the buildings appear very old and poorly maintained. Restrooms are unhygienic, carpets are stained and worn, and much of the equipment and control systems seem decades out of date. Even white-collar roles operate on a rigid shift system, with required start times as early as 7:00 AM. This can be particularly difficult for those with children or anyone who is not suited to early-morning schedules. If you are in an Information Technology role, most software development is offshored. Expect to work extensively with offshore teams, often aligned to their time zones and availability rather than local working hours. The organization is highly hierarchical, and this is reflected in day-to-day experiences such as parking access, seating arrangements, and the process for obtaining equipment.

Pros

Vacation accrual is amazing and no one questions if you need time off. Great team rapport and connections made here. Excellent processes and systems that support getting our jobs done.

Cons

After leaving Boeing, my final W2 was incorrect. I was unable to talk with someone to help rectify the information, and was continuously denied the ability to speak with someone about it. This was due to a phone number change, and the only way you can be verified is through a text on your phone. Since I no longer have that phone number, I was told I could not speak with anyone to rectify the information. I sent paperwork in (via snail mail) to get this rectified and after months, it is still not rectified. I will be unable to put the correct W2 on my taxes and this is an issue, as the W2 was materially wrong. In addition, I was paid under market for over 15 years at this company. New hires were being brought in at significantly higher salaries with little to no experience, and the company rarely gave me more than a 2% increase. Finally, bonuses are promised, however since there are so many issues with senior leadership, I rarely saw the full bonus amount.
