Pros
Steady work.
Good team leaders and project managers.
Generous leave and late policy.
Good culture when their actions back up their statements.
Cons
There are plenty of bonuses, like stock purchase plans, that I have no way of using because I'm already needing to make up a $400 shortfall each month. Raises are almost two percent a year if you're a top performer like me, which means they're worse than that for everyone else. No, there is no cost of living increase; the pay has fallen behind inflation every year for my entire time here, and it's getting to catastrophic level.
If I can't keep on finding odd work to do that, I will wind up needing a second job, which my health will not support.
