Pros

Building some genuine and long-term relationships

Equinix sales is essentially a boys club. Higher ups refuse to acknowledge the immaturity and the outrageous actions that are done even by management. Equinix is a place where who you know will get you promoted no matter if you are qualified for the position. There is little to no room for women to feel comfortable to speak on what is taking place because fear of backlash and career suicide. I believe the company preaches way too much and management does not lead by example.

Although I am pleased to see that you, like myself, find Equinix to be a place where wonderful friendships and connections are made, I found your perspective on your work environment troubling and disappointing. Equinix is committed to creating a workplace culture where every employee feels confident in saying “I’m safe, I belong, and I matter.” Our new CEO, Charles Meyers launched this company value statement last year, and our Chief Sales Officer, Mike Campbell and I are deeply committed to making this a priority in our organization as well. That commitment has been demonstrated in actionable work and this year Equinix made several hires and promotions of female leaders. Equinix has also expanded training and awareness programs for managers and employees around unconscious bias, inclusivity and what it means to “belong” at Equinix. The Equinix Women’s Leaders Network has scaled to continue to grow global programs and activities for employees. In addition, we responded to employee feedback by officially launching the Equinix Pride Connect resource group to provide LGBTQ employees and their allies a place to connect, learn and grow together. That said, it is no secret that the tech industry still has a long way to go in diversifying organizations – especially across those areas that require more technical skills. At Equinix, we too are on this journey. Pros

Most of the people (minus V.P. level leadership on up). Stock price, Stock options, the industry

1.More layers of useless leadership than needed. the phrase "I have no idea what that person does" is uttered at least once a week 2. The leadership team is never held accountable for poor performance, We are never asked for feedback on them while our annual reviews are very detailed and truly affect our $$$ raises (if you want to call it that) each year. 3. The silos are made of metal and non movable. It takes more signatures and approvals than a mortgage application to get something day. "better to leave i the say it is....." is the motto, 4. The company values are just words with no meaning. 5. Narcissism is the #1 quality of the majority of the leaders of the company. Give thema stage and they'll do great, but speak with them 1 X 1 and its like talking to a statue. 5. "why" is a four letter word there. don't ask why we do something that way in the hopes of changing things. lay low and watch the show
