Pros

-Wonderful coworkers. The average employee is incredibly driven and intelligent which makes the workplace a lot more interesting and fun than other places I've worked. -Laid back atmosphere; jeans every day, video games all over the office, giant Lego blocks, a slide -Employer paid insurance premiums -Year end profit sharing -Work from home one day every other week -On site fitness center -Free drinks, snacks, and Friday lunches

Cons

-Executives make reactive decisions in a bubble -"The Collaborative Way" is forced on the entire employee base to encourage collaboration and open communication. Unfortunately upper management does not practice what it preaches. They expect their employees to follow this code of conduct, but do not do it themselves. -Unless you are writing code or in sales, you're probably going to be underpaid -Insurance plan is a nightmare. Good luck if you ever go outside of your network! -CEO pushes his political agenda on employees and customers -While comparing themselves to Silicon Valley companies like Google that offering paternity leave, HCSS will not even give maternity leave "because there aren't enough women to make it worth paying for" -EXTREMELY male dominant. Zero female executives. Zero females in sales. Zero females in support. -Employees are often promoted based on saying yes to management rather than on merit. -I saw way too many people let go for seemingly no reason other than one of the executives decided he didn't like that person anymore.

Pros

A lot of fun activities, and relatively friendly staff.

Cons

• The support role ties you to your computer and phone waiting for calls. • The shift draft places you in late shifts like 11 to 8. • You complete an overnight shift once a month, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., even if you worked 11 to 8 earlier. • You return to the office the next day after the overnight. • The culture promotes activities, but support schedules leave you without time for them. • Many people try to transfer out of support as soon as possible. • Training prepares you for basics, but real cases require trial and error.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad to hear you found the team friendly and enjoyed the activities we offer. We also appreciate your candid feedback about support schedules, overnight shifts, and training. Support roles are demanding by nature, and we recognize the importance of balancing coverage needs with employee well-being and opportunities to engage in our culture. Feedback like this helps inform ongoing conversations around scheduling, development, and how we better support our teams. We appreciate your time at HCSS and wish you the best moving forward.
