Pros
The marketing team is full of people who are great to work with. Everyone is understanding of the pressures from different departments, and if you communicate with each other, you'll be able to work together to get things done.
Cons
Your priorities or what you think would be the best next step are disregarded if leadership has something they want to focus on instead. Often, expectations exceed the number of work hours in a day. Projects are rushed, and then extra time is needed to clean up the mess left behind, or the project is rushed and then discarded when priorities change. You need to have a strong ability to juggle projects as well as turn down or delay projects that might be important to other marketing team members, which can be hard.
