Pros

Top Salary Scale, Good safety record, Sure painted the mill to LOOK pretty, awakened new sense of pride in ownership in employees.

Cons

VERY top heavy in Management, most positions micro-managed horribly, purchased a poorly running saw mill and thought that painting would help (??), employees/existing management publicly scrutinized as opposed to behind closed door mentoring or counseling. Former employees both operational and leadership felt 'duped' when Interfor chose to close the mill, displacing over 100 employees and their families in the local Tacoma area.

Pros

They provide decent paying jobs in rural North American communities.

Cons

High turnover in IT. The salary attracts some to hold positions long enough to move on to a longer term position with better benefits. The bonus rarely paid out, so it's a wishing well more than a perk. Senior leadership consist of no IT professionals. They are often paralyzed with indecision because they just don't know tech.
