Pros

Good culture, great coworkers, and opportunities to see different tech stacks. Generally great relationships with client partners can lead to stable engagements.

Cons

This is a very large corporation with fairly aggressive business targets set for various parts of the organization. For the organization that I work within, this can lead to top-down company targets that create a squeeze for middle management as employees hungry for growth opportunities try to advance. These employees might find it hard to create opportunities for growth at the moment. One can do a great job in their role, and be recognized, however it may take looking for opportunities in other parts of the corporation to see steady career growth.

Pros

I was hired on to help with an onboarding project. I can honestly say there is nothing positive about this job.

Cons

I could write a dissertation on this place. I’m in my late 30s and needed this job after being laid off but quit because it’s so awful. Kitchen or retail work is better and that’s clearly saying a lot. Here’s some more examples: -Disorganized beyond belief—I didn’t get my laptop until almost 2 weeks into working there -Remote work is rendered useless due to the heavy monitoring and micromanaging that goes on here. If your phone status is in a non-talking status for more than 3 minutes, you’ll receive at least two calls or messages scolding you. There is zero room to even use the restroom without notifying someone first. -Management is horrific. My manager was personally the worst one I’ve ever had. He was a big reason why I quit. -The job is grueling. They’ll give you random hours of the day and week to work, it’s 24/7, no weekends or holidays off, your just a number, and you quitting is built into the business model—you’re expendable and your replacement is being trained as you’re answering phones not knowing what to do. Listen, I urge anyone reading this thinking about taking a role here, especially as an “infrastructure design associate”, to reconsider. It’s not worth the it. I’ve been unemployed a year and I quit if that tells you anything. You’re being hired most likely due to the new h1b law requiring 100k payments. This job would otherwise be done by someone making pennies.
