Pros

It is decent pay for area, good benefits, and great hours.

Cons

I started working for Regions after they had a massive change in job roles which caused several senior/tenured employees to leave. I was a little weary of this especially since I was one of 20+ that were hired within the region. I was told that it was easy to reach goals, they were a relationship bank so there were no selling products and they provided a great culture. I personally found it difficult to reach my goals because I had to split my time between cashline, desk and the Next Step program. You do have to push products after having a greenprint conversation. Not everyone who comes in is a good fit for a money market but I would be called into the managers office after to explain why they didn't get one. As a whole, I believe Regions is decent to work for however, my branch was horrible. It is in a small town, there was no diversity and definitely no inclusion. The branch manager and assistant branch manager were thick as thieves and often covered up for each other but most importantly, enjoyed talking about customers behind closed doors. I was often told to do something by the manager and then she would come back to me and fuss that she didn't. The management style was them being a micromanager. I wanted to transfer however, because I missed a required training in the first month (that I did not know I had because I changed hands with many branches), I had a write up that prevented me from moving branches.

Pros

The overall bank culture - they truly show that they value their employees, and fully vested in ensuring that is communicated and shown. I was completely impressed with my onboarding experience, and each day since my start date reaffirms that I made the right decision in accepting their offer. I could immediately tell that they invested in providing adequate tools to make our job functions efficient. There is also a large array of Learning & Development modules that are available to enhance your career. They are always sending out surveys to obtain feedback from the employees about their experience whenever they may have to engage with another area. The atmosphere has also been very welcoming and everyone seems so genuinely happy. They have provided me with a work life balance and good benefits. Regions definitely has identified the ingredients that I believe factor into why one would describe them as a great place to work. If the employees feel appreciated and are happy, it resonates. Its that kind of attitude that will be naturally also extended to our customers because its a embedded culture. I enjoy getting up and going to work everyday because I feel as if I am now working for a company that values the people they employ - and also care about how that also positively impacts their customers.

Cons

I can see that there are some gaps whereas one area may not fully understand what is going on in another - and because of that there may be some unnecessary overlap.
