Low Pay, High Standards - Sales Lead The Revenue Optimization Companies (T-ROC) Employee Review

Pros

Wireless Discounts Sales Bonuses Running my own team

Cons

Terrible Atmosphere Far too high a standard is placed on all stores; it isn't an issue if you have plenty of traffic. Placed in a store with too little traffic, or a demographic that is generally more cash-poor, you are out of luck

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you valued some of the benefits of the role—wireless discounts, the ability to earn bonuses, and the ownership that comes with running your own team. We also want to acknowledge the concerns you raised about the atmosphere, performance expectations in lower-traffic locations, and changes to the incentive structure. When goals feel disconnected from a store’s traffic patterns or local market realities, it can be frustrating—especially for teams working hard to deliver results. It may also be helpful context for readers that T-ROC supports a wide range of roles and client programs, and this review reflects one specific retail program at a point in time. As our client partnerships and programs evolve, the structure of compensation, metrics, and day-to-day store support can change significantly, and this experience may not reflect how current programs operate today. We’re always looking for ways to ensure performance expectations are fair, incentives feel meaningful, and team members have the tools and support to succeed. If you’re open to sharing additional detail, we welcome you to reach out through t-roc.fyi/WeSupportU so the right team can review your feedback. Thank you again for offering a candid perspective—feedback like this helps inform improvements for current and future team members.

Pros

1. The commission, if you can get majority of all accessories and wearables sales over the Walmart Associates (You make commission off that say, they don't) (Either have them put your register numbers in while cashing someone out, you put them in for them, or just ask them to help you out by handing the transaction over to you to finish out) 2. Not super strict on hair color, nails, make-up, or accessories so long as you are still capable of performing the job. 3. Flexible Hours & Paid Overtime.

Cons

1. Horrible Micro-Managers 2. Technically, yes, we worked in Walmart Store Locations at the Electronic Counter for the purpose of selling phones, electronic accessories, and wearables, but, we did not work "for" Walmart, meaning that we were not supposed to assist any customer with anything that did not involve those things, even while we are perfectly able to do it and not have to sit at the counter being glared at, yelled at, or cussed out for simply not doing what can easily be done 3. the commission is extremely low flat rate-based commission especially when it came to the accessories only being 50 cents per ans wearables for only a dollar per

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad you enjoyed parts of the role like flexible hours, overtime opportunities, and an environment where team members could show up as themselves. We also hear your concerns about micromanagement, unclear expectations when working inside a retail partner location, and an incentive structure that didn’t feel rewarding. No one should feel stuck in the middle of conflicting expectations, and we know leadership approach and program design make a big difference in day-to-day experience. For context for readers, this review reflects a former retail program that is no longer active, and T-ROC supports a wide range of roles and client programs today—so this experience may not reflect how current programs operate. If you’re open to sharing more details, please reach out through t-roc.fyi/WeSupportU so we can route your feedback to the appropriate team.
