Pros

You’re paired with mentors who are always available to answer questions, teach you the fundamentals of trading, and assign projects that accelerate your learning and development as a trader. This mentorship structure is one of the most unique and valuable aspects of Trillium’s internship program, setting it apart from many others. Most of the internship consists of mentor led projects and meetings with different staff members who cover a wide range of trading related topics. Mock trading sessions and typing drills also make up a significant portion of the program. The people here are exceptionally intelligent, down-to earth, and approachable. If you ask a question, they’ll gladly sit down with you until you fully understand the answer. Senior management regularly makes time to meet with interns, giving you the chance to learn directly from industry veterans and ask questions about their experiences. The program is highly structured and thoughtfully organized by the amazing Cary Grill, ensuring you’re always engaged and never left without meaningful work; unlike many internships where downtime can feel endless. The firm provides breakfast once a week and lunch twice a week. The amount I’ve learned about trading and the markets in just six weeks is extraordinary. Would have taken me many times longer to acquire without the guidance of such talented mentors and a well-designed program. Trading can become a very lucrative career if you approach it with discipline, hard work, and patience. Overall, I had an incredible experience and would recommend this internship program without hesitation.

Cons

****NOT CONS JUST THINGS WORTHY TO NOTE**** - Average workday around 7:00am - 8:00am to 5:00pm - 7:00pm. Depends on the activity during the trading day as well as who your mentor is. The days go by very quickly simply because of how much you have to do.
