Pros

Good entry level position for an aspiring IT technician who wants to learn the ropes of how the enterprise IT worlds works. You'll work with a lot of different software applications and many different hardware setups including RF technology. There's also a lot of room to specialize and take on projects that interest you so long as it improves the workplace. Upper management is attentive and supportive. Compensation is fair for an entry level IT role and the 4x10 schedule can be nice if it's for you.

Cons

This is actually a hybrid IT-maintenance position and you're likely going to perform far more maintenance work than IT work depending on the facility you work at. Due to the size of the program, there are many less IT specialists to lean on for support and training/documentation can be sparse. There is a high workload oftentimes and one lengthy troubleshooting session can result in a cascade effect and due to the size of the program, support can be hard to come by. Due to the small team sizes, callouts/uncovered PTO can be absolutely brutal.

Pros

On the rare occasions there were totes full of stuff, it was amazing. It was a mix of heaving lifting and walking around the store putting products on the shelves. To me, that's the best way to spend your entire shift. And once in a while, we would have nice customers come in and chat with us while we assisted them.

Cons

I got the job through a youth program, so I was place here essentially overnight. When I started here, I was given no training, and had to learn everything by myself. The staff at the time was not so nice to me or the others working for the same program. On slow days, we would try to find things to do, and this one lady worked on a section alone, but having nothing to do, and seeing she had a lot to do in her section, one would offer to help but she wouldn't take our help. So, we would often walk around all shift having nothing to do while that section remained untouched (even when she wasn't scheduled).
