Pros

The benefits are mediocre. The training will set you up to work in insurance and they don't require a college degree... But any company that's going to pay you more will want college so not really helpful that they don't require it.

Cons

Below average pay for the industry. Benefit cuts are normal. No profit sharing. No motivation to do a good job, because your pay isn't determined by anything you do. Metrics and goals are so high the only way you can meet them is working through your breaks and working off the clock every day. If you have at 5pm, your boss makes a smug comment. It's totally normal to come to work on a Saturday unpaid to catch up on work. You will work holidays. Hours are not flexible. Work from home was eliminated. If you're fired they will fight your unemployment claim. You will change bosses like underwear. New month, new boss. There isn't support when you need it. If you need guidance on something, it's not available.

Most stressful job ever

Pros

Not really that many pros. If I had to pick one I would say pay, or work from home if you enjoy that.

Cons

A company that will not train you properly but expect you to know everything and throw you into the field right away. If you’re lucky enough to be on a good team, you can communicate with your team to help. That is not always the case. Get ready to have everything blamed on you, and get ready to have constant arguments with customers/ shops on what GEICO wants to price their repairs at. GEICO is extremely out of touch with what things cost, and what their front line employees go through. I would be stressed about claims I had before, during, and after my shift. All of my weekends were filled with stressing about what needed to be completed the next day. Not the job for you unless you like extreme stress, and heavy workloads with programs that are constantly changing.

Pros

Flexible work from home options Inbound sales

Cons

Terrible technology. Applications and systems rarely work correctly, reports are rarely accurate and network disruptions happen regularly, yet sales agents are still accountable to closing/efficiency and selling metrics that don't take these factors into account. Poor pay structure. Management doesn't care about people anymore. They used to say when something changed "We will do what's best for the associate", but that is no longer the case. Seem to be trying to manage people out, and give poor performance ratings to avoid giving raises or bonuses.
