Pros

Historically possessed a very positive culture and a clear sense of direction. Previous leadership teams were approachable and fostered a collaborative environment where promotions were based on merit. The core business area has significant potential if managed with a focus on technical excellence.

Cons

Hikes and growth are now dependent on favoritism and "buttering up" leadership rather than actual work quality or technical effort. Recent leadership changes have introduced a culture of internal politics and "empire building" rather than team support. There is no longer value for people who provide "justice to their work"; high-effort contributors are often overlooked for recognition. Hiring quality has dropped to a "seat-filling" model, impacting the company’s overall technical standards. Flat rigid hikes with a "take it or leave it" attitude from management regarding resignations.

Pros

Talented peers at various levels who still try to hold things together Opportunities to work across domains and technologies Still Hybrid with still less politics and backstabbing than other places

Cons

Leadership immaturity disguised as tech expertise Psychological safety at an all-time low No one dares to confront the new leader A growing disconnect between what’s preached and what’s practiced UK people only want to delegate things down without giving any real sense of voice or power.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback and for your many years with Kerv. We are glad to hear you valued your peers, the breadth of work, and the hybrid environment, and we recognise that your experience of recent leadership and cultural shifts has been very different from what you had hoped. We understand that perceptions of leadership style, psychological safety, and UK–India collaboration can vary across teams and over time, and your perspective will be shared with the relevant senior leaders and our People team as part of our ongoing reviews. As an organisation, we remain committed to building a mature, inclusive and accountable leadership culture, and to ensuring HR continues to support a workplace where people feel heard and respected. While we cannot comment on specific individuals or situations in a public forum, we genuinely appreciate you voicing your concerns and your hopes for what Kerv can continue to be. We wish you the very best in your future endeavours and thank you for the contribution you made during your time here.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your experience with Kerv. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your recent perception of the culture and leadership has been less positive, especially as you have seen the organisation over a number of years. Your comments are noted and taken seriously. We do recognise that feedback like this is important input for us as we continue to evolve our culture, leadership capability and people practices. We are already reviewing several aspects of how we hire, develop and recognise our people with creation of a number of initiatives and your perspective will be fed to the relevant leaders. If you are open to it, we would really value the opportunity to understand your experience in more depth through a confidential conversation, so that we can better understand your observations. In any case, we appreciate the contribution you have made over your time with Kerv and wish you all the very best for your future endeavours.
