Pros

The people, great resources to help clients when properly executed. Used to be the best place to work all around - people would scramble to refer friends / family for open positions.

Cons

New management is ridiculously micromanaging, great systems are put into place but not executed properly so they turn into a headache, no team environment anymore, no proper training for any staff - attorneys included. There are no corporate benefits like you see with other company’s but they want to act “corporate”. No communication between different levels of management which makes it frustrating for hourly staff. Pay scale and performance reviews are a joke.

The single worst place I've ever worked

Pros

Co-workers were great! There was plenty to commiserate about so it was nice to have other people who were able to understand how terrible it was to work there. Otherwise, I never would have made it for a year+

Cons

The best way to handle this is with a list: 1. 0 training 2. Inexperienced/inept management across the board. 3. A COO who changes his mind every time the wind blows and all his ideas are fabricated from his mind's eye without a shred of data to back them up. 4. Extreme sexism and nepotism (if you're not a male, and especially a religious Jewish male, good luck lasting there). 5. No positive company culture - you go to do your job, hope the time passes, and pray for 5pm to come. Another company shares the office so you may get some cold, leftover, picked through food if you're lucky on occasion. 6. Benefits are minimal at best 7. People get laid off without a warning - there is no sense of performance reviews whatsoever so people are getting fired right and left at management's whim for no obvious reasons Run, don't walk from a job here. Please. Trust me.

Pros

Free parking Location is nice Pay was decent

Cons

I guess I thought that working for the “medical marijuana” “for the people” law office would be a cool experience. Wrong. It was a negative, elitist, and racist environment that made me anxious and depressed. During the interview, they painted a picture of teamwork and everyone "learning the ropes together". Couldn’t have been further from the truth. They expected painstaking, tedious tasks done at a breakneck pace with no mistakes. Office environment was very catty. Worked with two paralegals; we’ll call them A and B. The one I worked directly under was A. She was totally disrespectful to everyone but the attorneys, but especially rude to me. Paralegal B on my team was nicer, but still found it acceptable to talk trash about me within earshot on two separate occasions. At least she expressed regret after paralegal A got me fired saying she didn’t understand why paralegal A was such a [redacted] to me. HR is a complete joke. Ran by a woman who has a reputation for being nasty and vindictive. She decided to let me go in the middle of the work day for my “poor performance”, making me pack my things in front of everyone while two mail clerks watched and escorted me out. Totally humiliating and unprofessional. Bottom line: Don’t work here, especially if you are a woman of color.
