Pros

-Lunch stipend -Pay is above industry standards

Cons

-Horrific management that lives and breathes the "996 hustle culture" (work schedule that derives its name from its requirement that workers clock in from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, 6 days per week). Senior Directors expect you to be available and emailing from early morning to late at night. I repeatedly have my supervisor calling me well past 9 PM, always for trivial, non-urgent issues. If you don't respond, expect to have a stern talking to the following morning. -Micromanagement to the extreme. Every email you send, every word you utter is dissected and scrutinized to the nth degree. Zero freedom to utilize the skill set you brought to the company. Senior Directors are in the trenches scrutinizing the work of employees 6 levels beneath them. I've never seen anything like it.

Pros

Awesome IC’s, skilled and passionate Technicians

Cons

There’s an impending mass exodus from manufacturing and production departments due to the rampant racism, favoritism and outright incompetency from unqualified Sr Managers who cannot and will not read the room. Supervisors are installed, not based on competency but good ol fashioned AK’ing. Good luck with the rocket

Pros

Genuinely a lot of brilliant and passionate people. Cool product, factory, and mission.

Cons

Extreme toxicity has entered the company. HR trainings and what they preach don’t align with what actually happens or is followed by upper leadership. It’s high stakes environment so they will do whatever it takes to get to first launch and burn as many people as needed to get there. Many great long time employees have left for competitors, in comes the SpaceX culture and not necessarily the good kind. Don’t expect clear roles and responsibilities and don’t be surprised if “teammates” try to throw you under the bus
