I was let go (along with 25 other people - 15% of the company, I was told) via phone call on a Friday afternoon, exactly a month and a day after my start date. The company that was expanding enough to need to hire two people onto the TWE/QA team at once, apparently, needed to downsize just one month later.
I turned down other interviews and opportunities because I was hired here, and now I'm two months back in my post-grad school job search. I'm disheartened and wish that I'd seen the flags for what they were during the arduous, disorganized interview process - red. The people I worked with were lovely, but the company itself is, as someone else wrote on Glassdoor, on fire.
So many of the people who welcomed me or collaborated with me were let go, too. I feel taken advantage of and expendable. I feel robbed.
