I recently went through a multi-round interview process (Two technical and one functional rounds followed by an HRBP discussion). While the initial rounds were structured and relevant, my experience during the final HR interaction was disappointing.
The HRBP discussion lacked a clear agenda, and instead of focusing on role expectations, compensation, or next steps, the conversation included vague and, at times, irrelevant questions. As an experienced professional, I found this to be an inefficient use of time and not aligned with standard hiring practices.
Additionally, most of the communication throughout the process was handled by a third-party agency, which created a fragmented and less transparent experience. Direct engagement from the company would have added more clarity and professionalism.
Overall, while the technical evaluation process was decent, the final stages of candidate engagement need significant improvement in terms of structure, clarity, and professionalism.
