I applied through other source. I interviewed at PwC (Melbourne) in Feb 2024
Interview
Initial recruiter, 4 weeks after I applied, asked at 11am if i was available from 12pm that day with no alternatives for future. The job description dissapeared from workday so unable to see it.
First round interview, I asked 4 times before the interview to see the job description and was ignored. Interview was only confirmed at 6pm the day before for 11am the day after. Was told by one recruiter it would be a behavioural and competency based interview, a secondary recruiter told me it would be a case study based interview. Both emails came through at 6pm and 9pm the day before. Interview itself I had a positive experience with, however it was going through case studies but one section that I was told we would go through and that I had prepared for was ignored.
Very difficult to go through an interview stage if you don't have a job description to prepare against!
During the interview and beforehand, I was told the recruitment team would be in touch, no contact me for 2 days then i got a template email saying 'as the recruitment team have discussed with you, we will not be proceeding with your application'. Sufficed to say, none of the recruitment team had been in touch with me.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell us about your background
Case study questions
First call with HR approx30 mins to run through your experience and background, first round of in person interview with two Directors of the team - similar to many interview panels they ask about your background and ask some very challenging questions around your ability of the role, second/last round of 2 hours in person interview- first hour being a case study you need to complete in one hour and present PowerPoint deck to showcase your reasoning for providing your answer. Remaining interview were with two other directors/senior manager on the team asking interview style questions again. Everyone I met were super friendly and professional. No bias or judgement for sure, positive,

Interview
First Round Interview Usually conducted by HR or a hiring manager. This stage focuses on your background, motivations, relevant experience, and cultural fit. Expect behavioral questions like "Tell me about a challenge you overcame."
Technical or Skill Assessment (if applicable) For technical roles, you may be asked to solve problems, complete coding challenges, or demonstrate domain expertise. This could be a separate session or part of a later interview round.
The interview process was quick and efficient in my opinion. The feedback after each round was also quick, there wasnt any delays, interviewers were nice, friendly and honest about expectations
