I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Toast Inc (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2025
Interview
5 interviews that were pretty intense. The first with the Talent person, second and third with the district manager, fourth with the RVP and then another person. Some of the questions were hard and were not typical interview questions I have come across before.

Question 1
What's an example of a time when you worked cross departmentally at a previous job to build or accomplish a milestone?
In the third round interview, they require a project. Honestly, get as many details as possible about the project because they judge hard on this project and it’s not very clear what they expect and it kept me from moving on. Also be expected to interview with a different person each time. If you don’t vibe with one person, it makes it pretty difficult to move forward as well.

Question 1
All behavioral based questions, use the CAR or STAR model to answer.

Interview
The interview process was great and professional, featuring mock calls, practical scenarios, and open feedback sessions where I asked for advice and received clear, actionable guidance from experienced interviewers team.
Very brief phone call with the recruiter screen, then move on to the hiring manager round. They have a very structured training and ramping period, which got my attention. Unfortunately did not move forward with the next rounds.
