Awful - Comical - Unprofessional I was verbally offered a position, but after an attempt to negotiate and gain clarity on comp/benefits, they rescinded the offer. Attempted to pay lower than advertised in the job description "due to internal error." My takeaways from the interview. Let's start with the recruiter. The Recruiter: -Is easily offended when the candidate attempts to negotiate. -Does not communicate with managers throughout the hiring process. -Does not show up on time for an interview -Cannot answer very simple questions -Acts like she is told "no" to everything General Manager -Decided to change the position. Masked the elevation in the role as a positive. A $1.41/hr raise (56hr work week expected) -No professional filter. Revealed that they hired a felon to clean homes bc they could not find any other cleaners. Failed background check, 1099'd her -Stated I was the only candidate that applied. -Does not like to be asked questions or requests to clarify. -Late for interviews and does not prepare. Asked the same questions as the recruiter. -Fears discussing specifics. -Needs to get out of her chair and go into the market -She needs a vacation. Clear burnout and checked out -Thinks customers are the reason for all her problems -Talks the whole time Regional Manager: -Does not communicate with staff/subordinates. -No real reason to exist, offers zero support to frontline teams. -Does not have a professional filter. Revealed that she has gone through 5 managers in 3 years for Harbor. They were making one more attempt at hiring a manager and if unsuccessful, pulling out of the market. -Did not read my resume nor do any prep for the interview. Asked the same questions as the GM. -Believes customers are the reason for all of her problems. -She needs to get out of her chair and go into the market. -Talks the whole time -Shows up late to interviews Customers/Homeowners: Think of a backup plan. Vacasa is about to be booted off the NY stock exchange. -Trust me you are not getting the level of service deserved when paying a 35% fee. -Support local businesses. Not big box services.
