Pros

- Like every review you will read here, this company was a completely different place 2+ years ago. And, the majority of Boxers are some of the smartest and kindest people around. - HQ and the benefits of working at HQ (lunches, groups etc.) are exceptional.

Cons

- COO has changed the culture over the last 2.5 years dramatically for the worse. I won't go into the details to avoid any confidentiality risks but she might as well be Logan Roy on "Succession." Its like nothing I've ever seen. - The morale of the workforce is in the toilet and people now talk openly now about job hunting - There has been a huge migration of employees leaving the company. As a result most of the A players have gone and whats left if less than ideal. And, those who remain are given more responsibility without the benefit of a title bump or more pay.

Pros

Box has a strong and inclusive culture that emphasizes collaboration and respect, along with a flat organizational structure that makes it easy to interact directly with management. The company is forward-looking, particularly in its rapid adoption of AI and emerging technologies, and provides substantial opportunities for learning and growth for employees who are proactive and self-motivated.

Cons

As a company positioned between a startup and a large enterprise, Box can feel ambiguous at times, and employees may be expected to build processes or structure on their own and work outside their formal responsibilities. In addition, some management roles have long tenure, which can reduce advancement opportunities for individual contributors aiming to move into leadership positions.

Pros

-Great culture -Decent benefits, though missing 401k match -Decent flexibility in schedule -A solid product and historical customer base -No major layoffs in recent years

Cons

-Communication: leadership is rapidly losing touch with the employee experience, and what the needs and pain points of their teams are. Box really suffers from a situation of "left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing." Even within GTM, teams which work together every day don't communicate, and their respective leaders aren't on the same page -Unclear strategy: leadership is pushing to move at a faster and faster pace, without reflecting on what is an isn't working. Employees are being asked to do more work, while not receiving better pay or benefits, and satisfaction is dropping fast -Lack of advancement opportunity: promotions move incredibly slowly, as does compensation - pay is decently benchmarked, but lagging behind the industry -Required 3x a week in-office, even though a poll of the company showed the majority of workers would prefer otherwise, an old-fashioned mindset
