Pros

Great product. Customers love the product and it truly is disrupting Enterprise Data Warehousing. Good CEO with solid intentions and desired company values.

Cons

The unicorn status and huge rounds of funding has led to the influx of big company executives and they’re bringing in ‘their people’ — irrespective of role or job suitability. The company has gone from under 200 employees to almost 1,000 in less than 2 years. Tremendous growth and culture scaling challenges ensuing. Good people are suddenly let go while random roles are created and being hired without much process. Managers need training— there is a sub-culture of sarcastic humor, disrespectful toxicity and putting people down in certain groups.

Pros

Market pay, good benefits, daily breakfast and lunch with great variety.

Cons

The admin teams in the engineering and products orgs have high attrition rates, regular burnout and lack of trust in the admin leadership. The admin leads have created a lot of tension m for years and admins are scared to upset them because of how much influence they have in admins performance reviews. The admin leaders for the product and engineering admins (they don’t manage admins, they manage the program) have been reported to HR and investigated, but nothing happens and they continue to run the admin program poorly. Proceed carefully if you are thinking about an executive assistant or executive operations with them . Not sure how admins in other orgs at Snowflake are doing but they might be doing better because they are not part of admin programs.
